NEW POLL: Ninety-Four Percent of Minnesotans Support Education As A Civil Right

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Today, Our Children MN released new polling results showing an overwhelming majority of Minnesotans support the Page Amendment and making education a civil right.

The new poll showed ninety-four percent of Minnesotans believe public education should be a civil right for all children under the law. This is a significant increase of twelve percent since the last polling in spring of 2021. When broken down by political party, the bipartisan support for quality public education is staggering- ninety-four percent of Independents, eighty-seven percent of Republicans, and a hundred percent of Democrats.

“This polling shows support for education as a civil right and the Page Amendment to be overwhelmingly bipartisan,” said Nevada Littlewolf, Campaign Manager and Executive Director of Our Children MN. “We know by our work in the community as well as this polling that Minnesotans want to see systemic change in education. Our children are falling behind every day we don’t pass the Page Amendment and elevate the bar to a quality education. Legislators should take notice of their constituents’ desire to see education as a civil right on the ballot this November.”
