Page Amendment Launches Week of Action with Kick-Off, Youth Voices Panel
ST. PAUL, MINN. – Today, the Page Amendment launches Week of Action with a kick-off event at 12 pm CST and a youth voices panel at 4:30 pm CST. Week of Action is March 22 – 26 and is the campaign’s official statewide education and advocacy week.
The kick-off event will feature messages from Page Partners Representatives Hodan Hassan and Ron Kresha, Justice Alan Page, Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari, and more. The campaign will announce an expansion of the Our Children MN board of directors.
The panel discussion will feature Minnesota youth, including students from Bridgemakers, People for PSEO, and Young Women’s Initiative, and legislators. The campaign will also unveil amendment-themed spoken word art from local poet Michael Kleber-Diggs.
Week of Action is for Minnesotans to learn more about the amendment through a series of educational events, and then connect with local lawmakers and share why they support quality public education for all Minnesotans. Numerous organizations will take part, including the Minneapolis Federal Reserve, Minnesota Parent Union, Northside Achievement Zone, and more.
A full agenda and more information on the Week of Action events can be found here. All events are virtual and free to the public.
Our Children MN is an organization working to inform Minnesotans of the state’s education gaps and to build support to pass the Page Amendment. Learn more about the Page Amendment at https://ourchildrenmn.com/.
